On this page, we present some of the artists who chose CARBEC. We have chosen them for their talent and quality of sound - they have chosen us because of the quality of our products.

We are humbled by their appreciation and honoured by their desire to represent CARBEC worldwide.

Luca Cipriano

Principal CARBEC Artist (Italy)

Luca is Professor of Clarinet Performance at the Conservatory of Adria, Italy. He regularly collaborates as First Chair Clarinet and Bass Clarinet with the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Teatro Dell’Opera in Rome, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra.

He played in important institutions in Italy and abroad and worked with world-class directors including Myung-whun Chung, Paavo Järvi, Antonio Pappano, Jakub Hrůša, and Mikko Frank.

As part of his work with the Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble, he worked with composers such as Steve Reich, Peter Eotvos, Arvo Part, Ivan Fedele, and Sofia Gubaidulina.

He founded a clarinet trio with Alessandro Carbonare. This group regularly participates in festivals with dedicated documentary coverage by RAI and Sky.

Wang Yu

Principal CARBEC Artist (China)

Wang Yu is part of the Clarinet Faculty at the Harbin Conservatory of Music in China.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Clarinet Performance from the Shenyang Conservaotry of Music, studying under Professor Dong Dejung. He then graduated with a Master’s degree with honours at the Conservatory of Udine, Italy, under Nicola Bulfone.

He has previously held positions in well-known orchestras in Asia and Europe, including as Associate Principal Clarinet of the Shanxi Symphony Orchestra, Guest Principal Clarinet at the Leipzig Philharmonic, and Principal Clarinet of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Philharmonic Orchestra, and also served as a specially-appointed Clarinet Instructor at the Jinzhong Normal University.

He founded the WeChat public account "Music, My Life" ("谱出我人生"), publishing over 280 original articles and obtaining widespread attention within the industry.

Raül Verdú Sellés

CARBEC Artist (Belgium)

Raül Verdú Sellés is a Spanish clarinetist, Carbec and Backun Artist. Since 2022, he has served as Solo E-flat Clarinetist and Second Clarinetist of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, with which he performs regularly at prestigious concert halls such as the Queen Elisabeth Hall in Antwerp, Bozar in Brussels, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam among many others. Raül also regularly serves as a jury member for the final recitals of the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in clarinet at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.

He pursued his formal studies in clarinet at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) in Barcelona, where he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees under Josep Fuster. He then pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Orchestral Music at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, studying with Annelien Van Wauwe. I

Raül plays on Carbec Blue Line reeds, which he values for their clean and round sound, exceptional flexibility, and an easy, precise staccato, allowing him great expressive freedom in orchestral, chamber, and solo repertoire.

Federico Macagno

CARBEC Artist

Young Italian talent, Federico is First and Second Chair clarinet at the Teatro Goldoni orchestra in Livorno, Tuscany.

He graduated in Clarinet Performance with top marks at the Conservatory of Cuneo in 2020 under Massimo Mazzone and obtained the MA in Chamber Music under the great italian pianist Bruno Canino in Fiesole.

Davide De Feo

CARBEC Artist

Davide has collaborated as First Chair Clarinet at the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and with the Orchestra of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples among others.

He graduated with honours in Clarinet performance and Chamber Music, perfecting his technique with Alessandro Carbonare and Fabrizio Meloni, also participating in masters by Maestri Carbonare, Meloni, Mirabassi, Palermo and Sartori.
